This Oak tree looks like a floating island. I noticed how they both stabilize the bank, and also provide needed

habitat when they fall in the water. The most active areas for fish, vegetation and wildlife are in these

fallen trees where they slow the river's flow and create little refugia for fish, turtles, beavers, and other wildlife.
