Race for the River and make a contribution toward its restoration. On Saturday\, September 18\, 2010\, paddlers from throughout the state of California will be experiencing the grandeur of the San Joaquin River as they race from Lost Lake Park to the Fresno County Sportsman's Club in Fresno. Race for the River is a showcase for California's second largest river\, a river that is being restored. All proceeds from Race for the River will benefit non-profit organizations actively involved in San Joaquin River restoration.

The San Joaquin River Partnership - a collaborative of 11 non-profit conservation organizations-will present a two-day conference to examine one of the largest river restoration projects now underway in the western United States.
